Hi, my name is Savanna and I recently moved to the valley from Montrose.

I’m excited to explore and meet the wonderful community here! I am your Comprehensive Care Coordinator dedicated to helping make your dental experience comfortable and stress free

As a dental hygienist for over eight years, I have been privileged to help patients achieve healthier, more confident smiles in Mississippi, Tennessee, and now Colorado. I am deeply passionate about building trusting relationships with my patients and educating them on the importance of oral health as part of their overall well-being.

My career has been shaped by a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others. Recently, my husband, our four children, and I made the decision to move from the busy pace of Tennessee to the welcoming community of the Gunnison Valley.

We are excited to put down roots, connect with our neighbors, and enjoy the beauty and outdoor lifestyle that make this area so special.

Hi! I started my assistant journey in 2018 in Alamosa, Colorado, where I was born and raised. I completed a 1 year Dental Assistant program through Trinidad State Jr. College, where I made connections and found a position at a local dental office in Alamosa for 3 years. I then moved to Gunnison in March 2023 and was quickly swept up by CB Dental where I am lucky to work with like-minded individuals.

I have always loved being at the dentist and found my experience/comfortability to be rare. I decided to be the change I wanted to see in the dental field and am passionate about focusing on patient care and changing the negative stigma around the dentist! I am so thankful to work at such a beautiful and advanced practice that supports and promotes my passions!

In April 2023, I moved to Crested Butte with my wife, Shelby, and our two dogs, Gizmo and Fitzgerald. I  am excited to have been welcomed by the Crested Butte Dental team!  I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry and continued my education at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. I graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2015.  Boomer Sooner!  Following graduation I pursued additional training in clinical oral surgery at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. My focus was on surgical procedures such as surgical extractions, wisdom teeth extraction, bone grafts, sinus lifts, implants, implant supported fixed and removable dentures, and tori removal, in addition to various general dentistry procedures.

In my free time I love to spend time with my family and friends.  I love to travel and to be active while enjoying all the outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer.  If sports are happening anywhere, I love to be involved, whether watching or participation!

Hello there, my name is Sunni Hamilton. I strive to not only provide top-notch dental hygiene care, but also to build meaningful relationships with my patients. I believe that a friendly and welcoming environment is key to helping patients feel comfortable and at ease during their appointments.

Being a dental hygienist in Colorado has been a rewarding experience so far, and I am excited to continue my journey of promoting oral health and overall well-being in this vibrant and health-conscious community. I look forward to meeting new patients, learning from my colleagues, and making a positive impact in the field of dental hygiene here in Crested Butte Dental.

I grew up in South Lake Tahoe California, and went to college in Flagstaff Arizona at Northern Arizona University, where I graduated with my Bachelor’s of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2005.

I love being active, skiing in the winter, and hiking and biking in the summer. My husband Nick and I travel as often as possible and love exploring the world.

I have worked in both small offices and a large group practice alongside dental specialists including periodontists, endodontists, oral surgeons, and orthodontists, where I learned about all aspects of dentistry. I joined the Crested Butte Dental team in 2023. My passion is for educating patients so they can maintain their healthy smile for a lifetime.

I have been lucky enough to practice orthodontics for the past 17 years.  My wife and I started visiting the Crested Butte and Gunnison area during our daughter’s college career.  We fell in love with the area and look forward to making Crested Butte our home.  I attended the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN for college then went to Virginia Commonwealth University for Dental School. I graduated Summa Cum Laude then attended the University of Iowa for my masters in orthodontics.  I have been board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics since 2006.

I have always stayed up to date on the latest advances in the field of orthodontics.  I love working with both children and adults to improve the aesthetics and function of their smiles.  Every case is different and I have a passion for making the patient experience easy and providing excellent results.  I feel lucky to practice with Dr. Chelsea and Dr. Dave at Crested Butte Dental.

My name is Mireya (Me-ray-a).
After visiting Crested Butte once with my husband we knew this is where we were meant to be! We packed up our lives and moved here from Dallas, though Chicago is our original home.

We’ve been here for over a year now and it has been the greatest place we’ve ever lived! We have four fur babies and are excited to experience all this beautiful valley has to offer. So lucky to call this place home and to be a part of this great CB Dental team!

Hey! I’m Jose Saucedo, a Dental Assistant at CB Dental! That’s funny to me because as a kid I wasn’t a fan of the Dentist, now I work at a dental office!

Before CB Dental I made Gunnison my home back in 2016 and graduated from Gunnison High School in 2021. I became a part of the CB Dental team in 2023 and I enjoy working with the team, patients and all the awesome tech we have!

Hello, I’m Spencer.  I started with Crested Butte Dental in 2023. My background is a mishmash of experience in warehouse management and childcare.

Fun fact about me, I enjoy building computers and graphic design in my free time. I find genuine fulfillment in creating positive interactions and ultimately contributing to a great patient experience at CB Dental.

Hi my name is Sheila. I am the Financial Coordinator here at CB Dental.  I have been in this valley for 5 years now.

Prior to coming here, I lived in Denver for 27 years.
I have been in this practice for over a year now and I am so proud to be a part of this awesome team and the community. I am a hockey buff, a huge fan of the Colorado Avalanche. In my spare time I like to go jeeping, ride my bike and do short distance running.

Hello, My Names is Willie. I started dental assisting only recently, within the last month! Dental health as well as health in general has always been important to me and I hope I can share that with my patients.

Originally from Puerto Rico and moved to Florida when I was very young. Before moving to Crested Butte I worked as a Fire Medic in my home county in Florida for close to a decade and I’ve trained jiu jitsu for about the same amount of time. I’ve been in Crested Butte for about 8 months originally to snowboard and now because I seem to like the place a bit!

Hello! My name is Lauren. I came to the valley in 2013 where I attended Western Colorado
University and graduated with a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science in 2017.

I spent one year back on the front range, where I grew up, and had to come back to this beautiful
community. I believe in creating genuine and positive relationships. I have worked within clinical
settings for a few years and absolutely love being involved in the patient care journey and being
a part of establishing trust and quality care.
You can find me out taking in the outdoors, hiking, rafting, and camping. One of my favorite
ways to spend my spare time is by drawing or painting!

Hi! I recently started my assistant career after attending Adams State University in Alamosa, Co. In my down time, I love hiking with my two pups and spending time on the river. I am very excited for everything Crested Butte has to offer and can’t wait to explore the area!

I have always enjoyed going to the dentist and find this field to be the happy side of medicine. I can’t wait to help others have a positive dentistry experience and embrace their oral health!

Hello! My name is Lindsay and I recently moved to Crested Butte from Oklahoma with my husband, Ryan, and 8-year-old son, Rowan. I have been a dental assistant for 23 years and absolutely love it! I enjoy helping patients feel comfortable and love watching them leave with a smile!

When I’m not educating patients on dental health, I enjoy hiking, camping, playing soccer with my husband and son, and traveling.  We moved here after taking a year and a half off to travel around the U.S. in our tiny house. We learned a lot about this country and would do it again when we retire!

I couldn’t be happier to be welcomed to the team at Crested Butte Dental. I feel very fortunate to work with all of these wonderful people!

In the summer of 1996, I first experienced the Glorious beauty of Colorado at the pace of a bicycle while completing a coast to coast charity ride. Returning home to Louisiana after that mind blowing adventure, I started dental school and planned to one day live in the Colorado Rockies.

John Lennon once said, “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.”

And so life happened. I married Lynda. We settled into a cozy home in the City Park area of New Orleans. We started a dental practice. And we raised two wonderfully spirited humans. We have danced, laughed, paraded, and fully embraced a colorful life of meaning in Southern Louisiana. Moving to Crested Butte now with Lynda is truly a dream come true. I bring with me my passion for caring for the whole person, my bicycle, and one spectacular Spanish Water Dog, Gordon Javonte.

Dr Thibodaux is a graduate of LSU and LSU School of Dentistry with 25 years of clinical experience. He completed a 1-year hospital based dental residency at the VA Medical Center of New Orleans. In 2013, he earned his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, a status achieved by fewer than 6% of the general dentists in the U.S. He taught for 10 years as a part-time Clinical Professor at LSU School of Dentistry. For the past 12 years, he has been recognized as a “Top Dentist” in New Orleans Magazine as selected by his peers. He studies regularly at the prestigious Pankey Institute in South Florida and is committed to lifelong learning.

I’m thrilled to join Crested Butte Dental as an integral part of the Front Office staff. With over 25 years spent in the customer service field, I’m passionate about ensuring every patient has a positive and efficient experience. I’m excited to contribute to the well-being of our Crested Butte community.

My journey has taken me from the beautiful barrier islands of coastal North Carolina, where I met my husband, to eight wonderful years in New Orleans. Since 2018 we have been raising our amazing 10-year-old daughter, Aurora, in the breathtaking mountains of Crested Butte, Colorado – a place we truly believe sets her up for success.

Helping people feel confident, comfortable, and cared for is what drew me to dentistry and continues to inspire me every day. I’m especially passionate about easing dental anxiety and creating a positive experience for my patients.
I grew up in a close-knit community in London, Canada. I was a competitive runner and had the opportunity to travel the world racing as part of a sport that taught me discipline and how to connect with people from all walks of life. I continued competing at Florida State University, where I was honored to be a Division I All-American and Academic All-American. It was in Tallahassee that I discovered my love of dentistry, shadowing a talented prosthodontist and realizing how much joy and purpose could come from helping people feel confident in their smiles. I moved on to Temple University in Philadelphia where I graduated Cum Laude from dental school, gaining strong clinical training in comprehensive and cosmetic care, including full-mouth rehabilitation.

After dental school, I enjoyed serving the Highlands Ranch, CO community for many years. I am a proud Spear Study Club member and have pursued hundreds of hours of continuing education in esthetic dentistry, clear aligner therapy, endodontics, pediatrics and sedation. I’m also committed to giving back through programs like Colorado Mission of Mercy, Dental Lifeline Network, and international outreach in underserved communities.

Now, I’m incredibly excited to be part of the Crested Butte community, bringing high-quality care to patients of all ages. Outside the office, you will find me skiing, cycling, trail running, and backpacking with my husband, Wes, and our two crazy Vizslas.

Hi! My name is Rachel, and I’m originally from Santa Barbara, California. I moved to Colorado to attend CU Boulder and have been here ever since! Nearly two years ago, I made the move to Crested Butte to ski, and I’ve loved every minute of living here.

I have really enjoyed working at Crested Butte Dental the last few months. The team here is incredible, and I’m grateful for everything I’m learning as I prepare to (hopefully) attend dental school next year!

Outside of dentistry, I love backpacking, mountain biking, and spending as much time as possible outdoors!

Hello, my name is Candice. I’m a local here in Gunnison, with a passion for skiing and the outdoors.  I am excited to join the Crested Butte Dental team and look forward to continuous learning and growth.

Hello! My name is Sydney, and I joined the CB Dental team in November 2025 as a Patient Care Coordinator. I have always had a passion for health and a genuine love for being at the dentist. With seven years of customer service experience, I’m excited to play an integral role in each patient’s journey and help ensure everyone has an easy, comfortable, and even fun experience.

I moved to CB in the winter of 2021 for “just one ski season,” and I loved the valley and community so much that I never left. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy being in nature—whether on foot, bike, or skis—practicing yoga, making crafts, and spending time with my family and friends.

I’m truly grateful to be part of the Crested Butte Dental team and to have the chance to work with such amazing people!

Hi, my name is Tiffany and I’m the Patient Care Coordinator at CB Dental. I moved to Crested Butte in 2015 after living in Dubai for four years, working as a private chef alongside my husband. My years of being in the hospitality industry has taught me the importance of attention to detail. I look forward to bringing that same passion to my role at CB Dental.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling with my family and exploring new places in our van. When I’m home, I’m usually out trail running, mountain biking, or skiing with my family or spending time in the kitchen baking.

I decided I was going to be a dentist when I was 7 years old because I had amazing experiences both at my dentist’s and my orthodontist’s offices and I wanted to be like them!

As I got a little older, I realized it wasn’t all rainbow rubber bands and treasure chests that made the dentists in my life so great; it was that they were passionate about helping people. After attending the University of Southern California for college I went east to Boston University School of Dental Medicine where I graduated Cum Laude (and met Dave). Once I was in dental school it became clear being a general dentist was what I was meant to do. Connecting with patients is the best part of my job. I’m fortunate that helping a phobic patient work through their fears or giving someone the smile they have dreamed of or simply getting someone out of pain is my job! That does not get old.

Continuing education is extremely important to all of us at Crested Butte Family Dental. We spend hundreds of hours each year individually or as a team learning as much as we can to best serve our patients. Dental school does a decent job of giving you the basics, but continuing education is where you learn the treatments and technology that you can become passionate about. We have the leading technology and have spent numerous hours learning how best to use it to our patients’ advantage. Since joining the Crested Butte Community I have become more passionate about creating an exceptional experience for a special part of our community…the kids! This is why I have pursued an education in orthodontics, learned a ton about sleep disordered breathing in children and learned what makes for a great experience at the dentist for kids! Of course, I will always love serving and connecting with my adult patients as well!

Constantly learning and growing are a huge part of my values and I’m fortunate that dentistry is an ever-evolving profession. I was lucky to have a progressive mentor through dental school and was able to begin my career at his practice in Boulder. That is where I was first introduced to Cerec (same-day crown) technology as well as laser dentistry. I immediately learned as much as I could about Cerec and was asked to join the CerecDoctors.com Mentor group in 2012 and Visiting Faculty in 2016. I also completed the rigorous Arun Garg implant training and have enjoyed bringing a high-tech, digital workflow for implant placement to the office.

My primary goal has always been to improve the patient experience and for me that means listening to patient concerns, educating them on prevention and treatment, and creating an efficient and comfortable appointment. With the Cerec, 3D Xrays, and Laser technology, I am able to make your appointment personalized, comfortable and easy.

More recently, I have become passionate about breathing and sleep and understanding how it is the underlying issue for many health problems. I suffer from moderate sleep apnea and through the Spencer Study Club and ASAP pathways have studied how best to help myself and also my patients.

I am excited to have down roots in the Gunnison Valley community. My first visit to Crested Butte was when I was 15 years old and visiting a friend at Western State College. I immediately felt how special this place is and almost cannot believe that the dream of living here has become a reality. I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin and attended University of Wisconsin Madison for undergrad. Afterward, I went to Boston University where I graduated Cum Laude from dental school (and met Chelsea). Chelsea and I are so fortunate to raise our children here and serve such a wonderful community of people.

My true passion in both my personal and professional life is to help others. Fortunately, my profession as a Dental Hygienist and Myofunctional Therapist allows me to fulfill this passion in many ways. My goal is to provide the highest quality dental care possible.

I’m always eager to learn the latest and greatest and new advancements in the dental world. Learning is so much fun, I love it and the opportunities it provides. I feel so privileged to be working in an office where comprehensive dental care and whole body connections are a priority. As a Myofunctional Therapist (restores oral function by addressing the muscles in the head, neck and facial region), I have the knowledge and ability to help people establish proper oral posture and correct swallowing patterns while eliminating negative oral habits that can greatly impact one’s life. This includes the growth and development of facial structures, breathing, allergies, sleep, GI issues, facial and jaw pain, among so many other issues. I have studied under both www.aomtinfo.org and http://www.myomentor.com and will always continue evolving my education so that I can best help others. I’m extremely honored to be working with Drs. Dave and Chelsea Stangl and I’m excited to have both autonomy and support to continue my professional growth.

I’m so fortunate that I planted my roots in the Gunnison valley over 24 years ago. I have seen this valley grow in so many ways and I’m lucky to call Crested Butte my community and home. My husband Rusty and I are thankful that we are able to raise our two children in a place that we cherish and love.

I have been at Crested Butte Dental since November 2020 as part of the dental hygienist team. I graduated with my Associate’s in Dental Hygiene while living in Asheville, NC. Prior to that, I obtained a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Creighton University in Omaha, NE and taught early childhood and elementary education in North Carolina, New Mexico, Colorado, and Nebraska.

Some of my favorite things about being a RDH are connecting with patients one on one, making them feel comfortable, and helping make the Gunnison Valley healthier one mouth at a time.

I love living in the valley with my husband, dog, and of course -enjoying all the outdoor activities the Mountain West offers. You can also find me baking, doing yoga, reading, crafting, dining out, traveling, the list goes on.

Hi! I recently relocated to Gunnison from the great state of  Maine!  I grew up and raised my two daughters in a small town where my father was the  local dentist! Before becoming a dental hygienist, I was a licensed veterinary technician for five years.

One of the favorite parts of my job as a dental hygienist is to become acquainted with patients beyond the mouth and I am really looking forward to meeting all of my new CB Dental patients!

Like most, I came to this beautiful valley to ski and revel in the outdoors and to work with the great people at Crested Butte Family Dental!

Howdy! My name is Brenda and I am the Financial Coordinator at Crested Butte Dental. My husband and yellow Labrador Retriever moved to Crested Butte over two years from southeast Texas. We spent 15 years vacationing in Crested Butte prior to purchasing our cozy little ski chalet in 2018.
I have a BBA in Accounting and 25 years of oil and gas accounting experience. I love crunching numbers but most of all, working with a team so passionate about providing exceptional dental care to our community. I feel so blessed to work with a fun, hard working team in this valley.
In my spare time, I am studying for my Level 1 Sommelier certificate and aspire to progress to Level 2 and 3. Although I am not sure where my hobby will take me, I do enjoy the studies behind vine to bottle!

An avid hiker and Harry Potter fan, I’m a proud Ravenclaw who finished the Appalachian Trail in 2014 and the Colorado Trail in 2020. If you or your child are also fans of the Wizarding World, I’d love to learn about your house and favorite book when you arrive for your appointment! I grew up in North Carolina riding horses, playing the saxophone, and attempting to play soccer. My early 20’s saw me living in Oulu, Finland then Armenia, Colombia before finally landing in the Gunnison Valley with my husband, Dan, in 2014. When I’m not working, I can be found adventuring all over the mountains with Dan and our fur-baby, Jake the Adventure Aussie.
Hi! I started my career as a dental assistant in 2012 and have enjoyed becoming an integral part of the patient experience. My favorite part of being on this team is everyone’s commitment to providing the highest quality care to our patients. I’m passionate about sleep disordered breathing in children and love implementing our continuing education to better the health of our community.

Originally I’m from Anchorage, Alaska, where I spent my childhood on the ice. I played Division I Women’s Hockey at St. Cloud State University and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology. I’ve lived in Crested Butte since 2010 with my husband Scott, our son Beau, and two dogs. We are stoked to be raising our son in this glorious place.

Hello my name is Tara Sweitzer and I am excited to have joined Crested Butte Family Dental in 2018. I was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe and moved to Colorado in 2000. My husband was born and raised here in the Gunnison valley and we knew we always wanted to return to a small town, so when the time came we seized the opportunity and we couldn’t be happier. I have been in dentistry since 2000 and have had the opportunity to work with some of Colorado’s best. I attended Dental Assisting school in the small town of Niwot and received my Expanded Duties Certificate from CU School of Dental Medicine. I spent 6 years in pediatric dentistry during which time I was allied staff in the OR at Children’s Hospital of Colorado. I was also fortunate enough to teach Dental Assisting for the American School of Dental Assisting in Arvada and spend 2 years sharing my love of dentistry with others. I truly enjoy this profession and love being able to bring my passion to our patients. In my spare time I’m an active member of the Crested Butte Fire Protection District volunteering over 100+ shifts per year as a Firefighter/EMTB-IV. I also hold my 200+ hour Prana Vinyasa yoga teacher certification. We love being part of the Crested Butte tribe and I look forward to meeting you soon.
Hi! I was born in Hawaii, raised in California and went to college in Fort Collins at CSU. I moved to Crested Butte the day after graduation in December of 2014 for what I thought would be 6 months but has quickly turned into 6 years. I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with this team as a dental assistant. I have learned so much and am excited to attend hygiene school next year in order to return to the community as a hygienist at CB Dental. Outside of work I love to ski, watch the Broncos occasionally win on Sundays, travel, and hang out with my boyfriend, Robbie, and our dog, Stella.

When I was a kid I knew I wanted to be a dentist and serve in the US military and the Army gave me the
opportunity! I went to Arizona State University for undergrad (2009), the Arizona School
of Dentistry and Oral Health (2013) for dental school, and completed a one year Advanced
Education in General Dentistry residency (2014) that equipped me to spend 5 years treating our
Soldiers with the respect and care they deserved.

Dr. Chelsea hired me for my first post-Army job in Denver in 2018, and we have remained
friends since. When my husband, Mike, and I decided to move to the mountains, Drs. Chelsea
and Dave was our first phone call. The conservative treatment philosophy, technology, and
The patient-first attitude of the practice is synonymous with how I practice. I have a passion for the
medical side of dentistry and disease prevention. Since 2018, I have completed over 600 hours
of continuing education to better serve my patients, to include courses in implant placement and
management, orofacial/TMJ pain, cosmetic botox and filler injections, CEREC technology, and
    Invisalign.

I am a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the American Academy of
Clear Aligners. I am beyond happy to join Crested Butte Dental and this beautiful community.
We are excited to give back to the community in any way we can and look forward to being
contributing, valuable members of the Crested Butte and Gunnison Valleys.

Hi! I’m Carli and I am the Hygiene Coordinator at Crested Butte Dental. I moved to Crested Butte in 2017 with my husband and two (now three) kids, and we owned and operated Mochas Coffeehouse & Bakery in Gunnison until December 2019. Before that, I worked for Intrawest (now Alterra) in Denver.

I graduated from Metro State in Denver in 2006 with a B.A. in Anthropology and I’m originally from South Dakota. On the weekends, you will find me snowboarding or camping with my family and our dachshund.

Hi, My name is Ariel! I have been part of the dental field for 10 years as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. I recently moved here from Colorado Springs, originally from Cocoa Beach, Florida. I’m so excited to be part of such a wonderful team so dedicated to high quality, advanced care. I am passionate about providing care with a delicate, comforting touch, and making a difference in the overall health of patients. In my free time I enjoy painting, camping, kayaking, skiing, and hiking with my husband and our two wonderful dogs– loving the amazing beauty of Colorado. I look forward to meeting you!

Hi! My name is Madeline, I go by Maddy. I am the Treatment Coordinator for Crested Butte Dental. The CB Dental crew is a group of highly professional, hospitable, and comforting individuals – and I am proud to be part of this team!

In my position I am able to meet and care for so many people in the valley, and I take pride in being one of the first and last people they see at their visits. A fun fact about me is I was never allowed sugar cereal as a child, so now I eat Cocoa Puffs every morning!

I joined the Crested Butte Dental team in March of 2021. Before joining the team, I was a house cleaner for 7 years here in the valley and have a bachelor’s degree in Music Business. I have learned so much in my time at Crested Butte Dental and I continue to learn something new everyday!

I live here with my husband and our two kids. We love traveling together, however, we find ourselves missing home before too long!

In 2014, I spent 6 weeks volunteering as an assistant in Madagascar. I learned so much and it was such an awesome experience! I really enjoy being a part of the great team here at CB Dental that thrives on caring for our patients and giving  back to our community.  My love for mountain biking, skiing, paddle boarding and being outside brought me to Crested Butte. My boyfriend and I made the big move from California to the valley in 2021 and are so happy and excited to be here!

Hi! My name is Nichole. I am a born and raised Buttian who is still inspired every day by the majestic beauty of our valley and the incredible community that surrounds me. I am beyond grateful to be part of a team so deeply committed to the people here with a vision that perfectly reflects how I feel about my home.

When I’m not Hygiene Coordinating for the masses, you can catch me momming life away with my sweet son, Cobin James. We enjoy the usual variety of Crested Butte activities, all things creepy in nature and books.
